He hails from Thay, a ruined desert land. He’s been forced to learn his magic the hard way, living on his wits in a tough unforgiving wilderness.

He’s tall and wiry, and has dark scraggly hair. Unshaven. He wears dark red leather armour which he has marked with sigils in a black runic language to ward off attacks. He wields a staff in one hand which he uses to ward off attackers, and a dragontooth wand he made after his first first with dragons early in his time as a wizard. He uses this to reign death from afar but is not afraid to stand up close and dance with the enemy.

A pair of bracers on his arms guides his hail of magic missiles, and he wears a pair of goggles that focus his vision from his black eyes beneath on the many enemies that beset his travels.

He hates dragons, having found himself trapped within a red dragon nest when searching its hoard for goodies. He was tortured by the dragon and left to die, but with strength of will dragged himself away when the dragon slept. Since then he has learned the language of dragons and takes a particular pleasure in taking their favourite treasures for his own.

He takes a delight in the use of magic to manipulate his environment, creating – and destroying magic items, brewing up bubbling potions and using the power of magic he has learned to hide himself away when danger threatens.

Recently he has learned to summon dangerous creatures from other planes and recognises his pursuit of knowledge and power is taking him down a dangerous one way path….
